Fishers Stores Privacy Policy

Fishers Consolidated Stores Pty Ltd and related entities (Fishers) understand the importance of the privacy of customers, suppliers and staff. Accordingly, Fishers are committed to complying with the National Privacy Principles embodied in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 together with all other privacy legislation. The National Privacy Principles have been adopted by Fishers.

Personal information collected by Fishers will not be disclosed without the individual consent to such disclosure. However, there are situations in which personal information may be disclosed to other organisations in the usual course of business. Some such situations are as follows.

1. Customers banking details may be shared with our Bank if a dispute arises as to a transaction;

2. If an individual is nominating a Community Benefit when making purchases from Fishers, Fishers will supply to a Community Benefit organisation monthly sales volume including an individual contribution;

3. An individual's Bank account details may be forwarded to a debt collection agency or Police department if the debt remains unpaid or if Fishers suspects fraud.

4. Scan data may be shared with other suppliers, other organisations with whom Fishers conduct business or sold for income to data warehouses.

Any unauthorised disclosure of personal information otherwise than in accordance with this policy will be taken seriously by Fishers and appropriate action will thereafter be taken.
