About Fishers Tatura...
Tatura is a rural township in northern Victoria, 17 km west of Shepparton in the western Goulburn Valley with a population of around 3000. The name is thought to be derived from an Aboriginal word meaning a lagoon with rushes.
The main local industries are cereal crops, fruit and vegetable cultivation, dairying, fat sheep and cattle.
Fishers purchased Tatura in 2004 and recently refitted the entire store. Subsequently the store was upgraded from an 'IGA Everyday' to a 'SUPA IGA' and now stocks a wider variety of grocery, freshfood and liquor products.
