Drunk
Omni Red
Just the other day my wife said she wanted an easy drinking fun
wine, Lambrusco was mentioned and given some consideration before
snapping to our senses and reaching for what would have to be one
of the best value wines on the shelves at the moment.
How Omni can put out perfectly decent fizz in one litre bottles
at such a bargain price has got me stumped. This is a please everyone
style with everything in moderation and that's what you want on
the 25th when the extended family drop in for drinkies.
At only $8.95 for 1 ltr you cant go wrong this silly season.
Tasting
This Friday afternoon we will have on taste the amazing
range of Zilzie Alternative wines, including the
Pinot Gris which made Philip Whites best value under
$15 list.
Last time we tasted these wines the response was terrific and this
Friday should be no different. It’s your chance to taste some
very interesting wines that have been wowing the critics around the
country and overseas.
And of course we will have a bottle of wine to giveaway to
a lucky taster, so get in between 4.30 and 7.30pm for a real treat.

Friday.
Food
I haven’t a recipe this week, just some ideas
for easy Christmas dining.
Firstly, you have to order your seafood soon or else you might have
to settle for seafood extender shaped into a crayfish!
The Fishers Deli's have all types of fresh seafood
coming in on the 23rd so order now and relax.
Secondly, I'm not one for hot pudding after stuffing myself silly
on seafood, so I'm a big advocate of Panettone in the place of pudding.
Panettone is a large domed sweet bread with texture like a croissant
and studded with dried fruit and softened peel, perfect with a shot
of espresso after the big meal.
And I am happy to say we stock them in the grocery section.
And my biggest tip for easy Xmas entertaining is to go for a cold
lunch and prepare as much as possible the day before, because Christmas
isn’t much fun from a hot kitchen.
I’ve said it before and I'll say it again “PRE
PREPARATION PREVENTS A PRETTY POOR XMAS”

delivery anywhere outside the Mildura area if you desire.
A box of local wines would be a great pressie for friends and rellies
living interstate.
